These skillet potatoes with beef, garlic and cheese are a quick, well-seasoned recipe perfect for a family meal. The diced potatoes are seasoned with salt, black pepper, paprika and olive oil, then fried until golden. The cubed beef is seasoned and fried in the same skillet, then finished with garlic, cream cheese spread, the reserved potatoes and a generous layer of melted cheese on top.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 potatoes cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt for seasoning the potatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper for seasoning the potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for seasoning the potatoes
  • olive oil to taste for seasoning the potatoes
  • oil for frying
  • 600 g beef cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt for seasoning the beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper for seasoning the beef
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for seasoning the beef
  • 1 teaspoon fried garlic
  • olive oil to taste for seasoning the beef
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese spread
  • cheese to taste for melting

Instructions
 

  • Place the diced potatoes in a bowl.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, paprika and olive oil to taste.
  • Mix very well to coat all the potato cubes with the seasoning.
  • Heat oil in a skillet and add the potatoes to fry.
  • Stir to distribute well and fry until the potatoes are golden.
  • Remove the potatoes from the skillet, place them in another container and set aside.
  • In another bowl, place the beef cut into cubes.
  • Season the beef with salt, black pepper, paprika, fried garlic and olive oil to taste.
  • Mix well to incorporate the seasonings into all the beef pieces.
  • In the same skillet used for the potatoes, add the seasoned beef and let it fry.
  • Stir occasionally until the beef is fried and reaches the desired point.
  • Add the chopped garlic and cream cheese spread to the beef.
  • Mix very well until the beef is coated with the cream cheese spread and garlic.
  • Return the fried potatoes to the skillet and mix with the beef.
  • Arrange the mixture in the skillet and cover with cheese to taste.
  • Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt.
  • Turn off the heat and serve the potatoes with beef and cheese while hot.

Notes

Cut the potatoes into similar-sized cubes so they fry evenly. Let the potatoes brown well before removing them from the skillet, as this helps keep their texture. Use the same skillet to fry the beef and take advantage of the flavor left from the potatoes. Mix the cream cheese spread with the garlic near the end to make the beef creamier. Cover the skillet only long enough to melt the cheese and serve while hot.
