Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 bananas sliced
  • 400 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 box heavy cream
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, add the sugar and cook until it starts to melt.
  • Stir occasionally until a golden caramel forms.
  • Slowly add the water while stirring until fully dissolved.
  • Add the sliced bananas and cook for a few minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and set aside the caramelized bananas.
  • In another saucepan, mix the condensed milk with cornstarch until smooth.
  • Add the heavy cream and milk and mix well.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Pour the cream into a dish and spread evenly.
  • Top with the caramelized bananas and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.

Notes

Add the water slowly to the caramel to prevent it from hardening too quickly. Chill for the recommended time to achieve the perfect texture.
