Ingredients
- 700 g ground beef
- 1 unit grated onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 100 ml water
- 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
- oil for frying
- cooked pasta, tender
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with grated onion, salt, black pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes, turmeric, breadcrumbs, and olive oil until fully combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs of your preferred size.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides, turning carefully with forks.
- Add tomato paste, salt, dried parsley, red pepper flakes, paprika, turmeric, dried basil, and sugar. Mix well to coat the meatballs.
- Pour in water and tomato sauce. Stir, cover the pan, and let simmer for 3 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and serve the meatballs over freshly cooked pasta.
