
Oriental Style Chicken with Broccoli
A delicious chicken with broccoli and carrots prepared in an oriental style with soy sauce and a light savory sauce. A quick and flavorful dish perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients
- 300 g broccoli
- 1 carrot sliced thinly
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 chicken breasts cut into cubes
- 1 tsp salt for the chicken
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
- In a pot add the broccoli, carrot and salt. Cover with hot water and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Drain the vegetables and set them aside.
- In a skillet cook the cubed chicken until it begins to brown.
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper and oregano and mix well.
- Add the minced garlic and sliced onion and sauté until golden.
- Add the cooked broccoli and carrot and mix well.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in a little water until smooth.
- Add the dissolved cornstarch and soy sauce to the pan and mix well.
- Turn the heat back on and cook until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Turn off the heat, transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot.
Notes
Serve with steamed white rice or fried rice for a complete meal. If you prefer a thicker sauce, add a little more cornstarch dissolved in water.
