
Skillet Chicken and Potatoes
A delicious chicken and potatoes recipe cooked in a skillet, golden on the outside and simmered in a flavorful sauce. Easy to prepare and incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken thighs
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- olive oil
- butter
- 2 onions sliced
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 150 ml water
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- pre-cooked potatoes
- fresh herbs to taste
Instructions
- Make cuts in the chicken thighs to help the seasoning penetrate.
- Season the chicken with paprika, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper, mixing well.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter and brown the chicken on all sides.
- Add the onions and chopped garlic and sauté until golden.
- Prepare the sauce by mixing tomato sauce, water, salt, black pepper, and dried parsley.
- Add the pre-cooked potatoes to the skillet and mix with the chicken.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and potatoes.
- Cover and cook for about 10 minutes until everything is fully cooked.
- Finish with fresh herbs to taste.
- Serve hot with the chicken and golden potatoes.
Notes
You can lightly pre-cook the potatoes to speed up the process. Using butter together with olive oil adds extra flavor to the chicken.
