Sweet Blended Spaghetti with Condensed Milk
A surprisingly delicious and different recipe: spaghetti cooked with milk and cinnamon, then blended with sweetened condensed milk and strained into a smooth, creamy sweet drink or dessert.
Equipment
- pot
- stove
- spoon
- blender
- sieve
- mixing bowl
- measuring cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups spaghetti pasta, broken into small pieces
- 2 cups water (for cooking)
- 500 ml milk, room temperature
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 units cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups water, room temperature (for blending)
- vanilla extract, to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Place the broken spaghetti into a pot and add 2 cups of water while the heat is still off.
- Add the milk (500 ml), a pinch of salt, and the 2 cinnamon sticks.
- Turn on the heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom.
- Once the pasta is very soft, remove the cinnamon sticks.
- Transfer the mixture to a blender. Add 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 2 cups of water, and vanilla extract to taste (optional).
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a sieve into a bowl to remove any remaining small pasta pieces.
- Serve immediately or chill before serving for a refreshing dessert drink.
Notes
Start with the heat turned off when adding the water to the pasta. Stir during cooking to prevent sticking. Remove the cinnamon sticks before blending. Vanilla extract is optional and can be adjusted to taste. Strain well for an extra smooth texture. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
