Chocochurros Cake Filled with Condensed Milk

This chocochurros cake comes out of the oven already filled, with a creamy layer of condensed milk at the bottom of the pan and a soft chocolate batter made in the blender. The recipe combines eggs, sugar, oil, milk, cocoa powder, wheat flour and baking powder, resulting in a moist, beautiful and very flavorful cake to serve warm or at room temperature.

  • butter for greasing
  • 800 g condensed milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Modo de preparo
 

  • Grease a cake pan only with butter, spreading it well over the bottom and sides.
  • Add the two cans of condensed milk to the greased pan, forming the filling layer.
  • In a blender, add the eggs and sugar. Blend for 1 minute.
  • Add the oil, milk and cocoa powder to the blender.
  • Cover and blend for another 2 minutes, until the mixture is very smooth.
  • Transfer the blender mixture to a bowl.
  • Add the wheat flour, sifted if desired, and mix until a smooth, homogeneous batter forms.
  • Add the baking powder and stir gently, only until incorporated.
  • Carefully pour the batter into the pan over the condensed milk.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 50 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven when the cake is baked and firm.
  • Slice while still warm if you want to show the filling, or let it cool slightly before serving for a firmer texture.

Notas

Grease the pan only with butter to help the condensed milk form its characteristic creamy layer. After adding the flour, mix only until the batter is smooth and homogeneous. Once the baking powder is added, stir gently to keep the cake light. Since the filling is made with condensed milk, wait a few minutes before unmolding or slicing so the structure becomes firmer.
