This creamy beef with mayonnaise and cream cheese is an easy, practical and flavorful recipe for lunch or dinner. The cubed beef is mixed with mayonnaise, seared with onion, garlic and butter, seasoned with salt, bay leaf powder and black pepper, then cooked with water until tender. At the end, it gets mustard, ketchup and cream cheese spread, creating a rich and delicious sauce to serve with white rice.

Ingredientes
  

  • 500 g beef cut into cubes
  • mayonnaise to taste
  • butter for sautéing
  • 1 piece chopped onion
  • 2 cloves finely chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon bay leaf powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ketchup
  • 200 g cream cheese spread
  • fresh herbs to taste

Modo de preparo
 

  • Place the beef cut into cubes in a bowl.
  • Add the mayonnaise and mix very well until all the beef pieces are coated.
  • Set the beef aside while preparing the sautéed base.
  • Place the butter in a skillet and turn on the heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and finely chopped garlic.
  • Sauté very well until the onion and garlic are aromatic.
  • Place the beef with mayonnaise in the skillet and mix with the sautéed base.
  • Let the beef sear well, stirring occasionally.
  • Season with salt, bay leaf powder and black pepper.
  • Mix to incorporate the seasonings into the beef.
  • Add the water, cover the skillet and let it cook for 15 minutes.
  • When the water has reduced well, add the mustard and ketchup.
  • Add the cream cheese spread and mix very well.
  • Cook for a few more minutes, stirring, until the beef is coated in a creamy sauce.
  • Serve the creamy beef on a plate and finish with fresh herbs to taste.

Notas

Use only a small amount of salt at first, because mayonnaise is usually already salty. Sear the beef well before adding the water to enhance the flavor. Cook with the skillet covered until the beef is tender and the water reduces. Mustard and ketchup go in at the end to flavor the sauce, while the cream cheese makes everything creamier. Fresh herbs are optional, but add a nice fresh finish.
