Ingredientes
  

  • 500 g chicken fillet
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 unit lemon, juiced
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 300 g cheese cut into cubes
  • 2 cups cream cheese (requeijão)
  • 1/2 cup water for the sauce
  • fresh parsley or green onions to taste

Modo de preparo
 

  • Use a fork to poke holes in the chicken fillets so the seasoning can penetrate better.
  • Season the chicken with salt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper. Mix well to distribute the seasoning evenly.
  • Heat oil in a skillet and add the chicken fillets. Fry until golden on both sides.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water, cover the pan, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Turn the chicken fillets, cover again, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • In a blender, add the cubed cheese and cream cheese. Blend until smooth.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and blend again until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Add chopped parsley or green onions and mix gently.
  • Cook for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy. Turn off the heat and serve.

Notas

Poking the chicken with a fork helps the seasoning penetrate better. Cook the chicken until lightly golden before adding water to finish cooking. For an even richer flavor, you can replace part of the water in the sauce with milk or cream. Serve with rice, pasta, or vegetables.
