This easy liquid batter pizza is a practical, budget-friendly and delicious recipe to make at home without complication. The batter is made with water, sugar, salt, oil, wheat flour and baking powder, with a more fluid texture that spreads easily in the pan. After a first baking step with tomato sauce, olive oil and oregano, the pizza is topped with plenty of mozzarella and baked again until melted and ready to serve.

Ingredientes
  

  • 250 ml room temperature water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • olive oil for greasing the pan
  • wheat flour for dusting the pan
  • tomato sauce to taste
  • olive oil to taste for finishing
  • oregano to taste
  • shredded mozzarella cheese to taste

Modo de preparo
 

  • In a bowl, add the room temperature water, sugar, salt, oil and wheat flour.
  • Mix very well until you get a smooth batter.
  • If needed, add a little more water until the batter reaches a more liquid and easy-to-spread texture.
  • Add the baking powder and mix again only until incorporated.
  • Transfer the batter to a pan greased with olive oil and dusted with wheat flour.
  • Spread the batter to cover the entire bottom of the pan.
  • Distribute the tomato sauce on top, without using too much.
  • Add a drizzle of olive oil and oregano to taste.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and cover with plenty of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Add a little more oregano on top.
  • Return to the oven at 210 degrees for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is well melted.
  • Remove from the oven, cut into slices and serve hot.

Notas

Mix the batter well until smooth and, if needed, add a little more water to reach a more liquid texture. After adding the baking powder, stir only enough to incorporate it. Grease and flour the pan well to make the slices easier to remove. Do not overdo the sauce so the crust does not become heavy. Serve the pizza hot, with the cheese fully melted.
