Pressure Cooker Beef Stew with Potatoes
This pressure cooker beef stew turns out tender, juicy and full of flavor. Cubed beef is browned in butter and olive oil, then cooked with onion, garlic, tomatoes, soy sauce, paprika and black pepper. The potatoes are added at the end to cook in the same sauce, creating a complete homemade dish for lunch or dinner.

Ingredientes
- butter to taste
- generous drizzle of olive oil
- 1 kg beef cut into cubes
- 3 cloves crushed garlic
- 2 onions cut into thick slices
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 300 ml water for cooking the beef
- washed potatoes to taste
- extra water for cooking the potatoes
- fresh parsley and green onion to taste
Modo de preparo
- Add butter to taste to the pressure cooker, add a generous drizzle of olive oil and heat until the butter melts.
- Add the cubed beef and fry until well browned.
- Remove the beef from the pot and set aside so the same pot can be used for the aromatics.
- In the same pot, add the crushed garlic and onions cut into thick slices.
- Sauté the onion and garlic well until softened and fragrant.
- Return the browned beef to the pot and add the chopped tomatoes.
- Season with salt, paprika, black pepper and soy sauce. Mix well.
- Add 300 ml of water, close the pressure cooker and cook for 30 minutes after it reaches pressure.
- Turn off the heat and open the cooker carefully only after all pressure has been released.
- Add the washed potatoes and a little more water to help them cook.
- Close again and cook for another 10 minutes after it reaches pressure.
- Turn off the heat, release the pressure carefully and open the pot.
- Finish with fresh parsley and green onion on top, without stirring too much so the potatoes stay whole.
- Transfer carefully to a serving bowl and serve the beef with the potatoes and sauce.

Notas
Brown the beef well before pressure cooking, as this makes the sauce more flavorful. Use medium potato pieces so they cook without falling apart. When opening the pressure cooker, wait until all pressure has been safely released before removing the lid. For a thicker sauce, let it simmer uncovered for a few minutes after the potatoes are cooked.
