This ground beef with eggs and cheese is a practical, flavorful recipe that is perfect to serve with rice for lunch or dinner. The beef is sautéed with onion and garlic, seasoned with paprika, dried parsley and red pepper flakes, cooked with tomato until saucy, and finished with eggs, melted mozzarella, oregano and fresh herbs.

Ingredientes
  

  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic
  • oil for sautéing
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 100 ml water
  • 4 eggs
  • mozzarella cheese to taste
  • oregano to taste
  • fresh parsley and green onion to taste

Modo de preparo
 

  • Heat a skillet with a little oil and add the chopped onion and chopped garlic.
  • Sauté over medium heat until the onion and garlic begin to brown, being careful not to burn them.
  • Add the ground beef and mix well with the onion and garlic.
  • Cook the beef, stirring, until it releases liquid. Cover and let it cook until the liquid dries completely.
  • Season with paprika, salt, dried parsley and red pepper flakes.
  • Mix well to distribute the seasonings throughout the beef.
  • Add the chopped tomato and water.
  • Cover the skillet and cook until the tomato softens, breaks down and the liquid reduces slightly.
  • Make small spaces in the beef and place the eggs into those spaces.
  • Spoon a little sauce over the eggs to help them cook and add flavor.
  • Add mozzarella cheese on top and finish with oregano to taste.
  • Cover the skillet and cook only until the eggs set and the cheese melts.
  • Turn off the heat and finish with fresh parsley and green onion on top.
  • Serve while hot, preferably with rice.

Notas

Cook the beef until all the released liquid evaporates before adding the seasonings, as this concentrates the flavor. When adding the eggs, make small spaces in the beef so they cook better in the sauce. Cover the skillet only until the eggs set and the cheese melts, avoiding overcooking.
