This steak with garlic and cheese sauce is a quick, creamy and very flavorful recipe, perfect for lunch or dinner in under twenty minutes. The steaks are seared in a skillet with salt and black pepper, then finished with a sauce made in the same skillet using butter, golden garlic, wheat flour, milk and grated cheese. The result is a juicy dish with a rich, full-flavored sauce.

Ingredientes
  

  • beef steaks
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • butter to taste
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons wheat flour
  • 300 ml milk
  • 100 g grated cheese
  • fresh parsley and green onion to taste

Modo de preparo
 

  • Heat a skillet and add the steaks to sear.
  • Season the steaks with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • When the steaks are browned on one side, flip and brown the other side.
  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and place them in a container.
  • In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt, using the flavor left on the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the chopped garlic and sauté over medium heat until golden, without letting it burn.
  • Add the wheat flour gradually, stirring well to form the sauce base.
  • Add the milk gradually, stirring constantly, until a creamy sauce forms.
  • Adjust the salt in the sauce if needed.
  • Add the grated cheese and stir until melted and fully incorporated into the sauce.
  • Return the steaks to the skillet and coat them with the sauce.
  • Finish with fresh parsley and green onion to taste.
  • Serve the steaks with plenty of sauce on top.

Notas

Use the same skillet where the steaks were seared to capture all the flavor left on the bottom. Sauté the garlic over medium heat so it browns without burning, as burnt garlic can make the sauce bitter. Add the milk gradually and stir constantly to avoid lumps. The grated cheese can be Parmesan, mozzarella or another cheese that melts well. Serve with white rice, mashed potatoes, vegetables or a simple salad.
