
Skillet Gratin Boiled Eggs with Mozzarella
These skillet gratin boiled eggs with mozzarella are a simple, quick and very flavorful recipe to serve for lunch, as a side dish or even as a warm salad. The boiled eggs are cut in half, seasoned with black pepper, paprika and turmeric, covered with plenty of mozzarella cheese and finished with fresh herbs. The result is a creamy, well-seasoned dish that is a delicious change from traditional boiled eggs.

- saucepan For boiling the eggs before assembling the recipe.
- Skillet with lid For heating the eggs and melting the cheese.
- knife For cutting the boiled eggs in half.
- cutting board For supporting the eggs while cutting.

Ingredients
- 6 pieces boiled eggs
- olive oil or butter for greasing the skillet
- black pepper to taste
- paprika to taste
- turmeric to taste
- 150 g grated or sliced mozzarella cheese
- fresh herbs to taste
Instructions
- Cook the eggs until firm, peel them and cut each one in half.
- Grease a skillet with a little olive oil or butter, if needed.
- Place the boiled eggs cut in half in the skillet, carefully keeping the pieces whole.
- Season the eggs with black pepper, paprika and turmeric to taste.
- Cover the eggs with plenty of mozzarella cheese, spreading it well over the top.
- Cover the skillet and keep over low heat until the cheese melts completely.
- Finish with fresh herbs to taste for more flavor and aroma.
- Turn off the heat, transfer the eggs to a plate and serve hot as a side dish, salad or simple meal.

Notes
Cook the eggs until firm before cutting them in half. Use a nonstick skillet and, if needed, grease it with a drizzle of olive oil or a little butter to prevent sticking. The seasonings can be adjusted to taste, and the mozzarella should be added in enough quantity to cover the eggs well. Cover the skillet over low heat to melt the cheese without drying out the eggs.
