
One-Pot Seasoned Rice for the Whole Family
A colorful and flavorful one-pot rice dish made with fresh vegetables, sausage, and simple seasonings. Perfect for feeding the whole family with an easy, budget-friendly meal.

Ingredients
- 1 unit tomato, chopped into small pieces
- 1 unit bell pepper, chopped
- 1 unit onion, chopped
- 1 unit carrot, chopped
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 units sausages, sliced
- water enough to cover the rice (about 4 cups)
Instructions
- With the heat turned off, add the chopped tomato, bell pepper, onion, and carrot to a large pot or skillet.
- Add the uncooked rice and minced garlic. Season with salt and paprika, then add the oil. Mix everything well to combine.
- Add the sliced sausages and mix again to evenly distribute.
- Pour in enough water to fully cover the rice and stir gently.
- Turn on the heat, cover the pot, and cook until the water has completely evaporated and the rice is tender.
- Fluff the rice with a spoon and serve hot.
Notes
You can substitute the sausage with smoked sausage if preferred. Adjust the salt to taste. Keep the pot covered while cooking to ensure the rice becomes tender and fluffy. Use the proper water-to-rice ratio for best results.
