These baked chicken drumettes with potatoes are practical, flavorful and perfect for lunch or dinner. The chicken is seasoned with paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, oil, tomato paste and honey, becoming golden, slightly sweet and very juicy. The cubed potatoes are seasoned separately and baked together with the chicken, absorbing the seasoning flavor and turning into a delicious side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg chicken drumettes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for the chicken
  • 1 teaspoon salt for the chicken
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper for the chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 50 ml oil for the chicken
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • honey to taste
  • 6 potatoes cut into cubes
  • salt to taste for the potatoes
  • black pepper to taste for the potatoes
  • paprika to taste for the potatoes
  • 50 ml oil for the potatoes

Instructions
 

  • Place the chicken drumettes in a large bowl.
  • Season with paprika, salt, black pepper and garlic powder.
  • Add the oil, tomato paste and honey to taste.
  • Mix very well with your hands until all pieces are well seasoned.
  • Transfer the drumettes to a baking pan, arranging the pieces with the tips facing the bottom.
  • Set the chicken aside while preparing the potatoes.
  • In another bowl, place the potatoes cut into cubes.
  • Season the potatoes with salt, black pepper and paprika to taste.
  • Add the oil and mix very well to coat all the potatoes.
  • Place the potatoes in the center of the baking pan, between the chicken pieces, distributing evenly.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  • Remove from the oven, serve the chicken with the potatoes and enjoy while hot.

Notes

Mix the seasonings well with your hands to coat all the chicken drumettes. Honey helps caramelize the chicken, so avoid using too much so it does not burn in the oven. Cut the potatoes into medium cubes so they cook in the same time as the chicken. For a more golden result, leave it in the oven for a few extra minutes, watching so it does not dry out. Serve with white rice, salad or your favorite sauce.
