
Oven Potatoes with Cherry Tomatoes and Creamy Sauce
These oven potatoes with cherry tomatoes and creamy sauce are a practical and flavorful option for lunch. Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes cut into slices
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 12 cherry tomatoes
- 200 g cream
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- oregano to taste
- olive oil to taste
Instructions
- Cut the potatoes into slices and place them in a large bowl.
- Add the chopped onion, chopped garlic and cherry tomatoes to the potatoes.
- Season with salt, black pepper, oregano and olive oil to taste.
- Mix well to distribute the seasonings over all the potatoes.
- In another bowl, add the cream and mix with some of the seasonings, if desired, to make the sauce.
- Set the sauce aside while arranging the potatoes.
- Arrange the seasoned potatoes in a baking dish, forming well-distributed layers.
- Spread the cream sauce over the potatoes, covering the surface well.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Remove from the oven and serve hot.

Notes
Cut the potatoes into similar-thickness slices so they cook evenly in the oven. Season well before assembling in the baking dish, using salt, black pepper, oregano and a drizzle of olive oil if desired. Spread the sauce over the entire surface so the potatoes stay moist while baking. If the potatoes are cut very thick, add a few more minutes to the baking time. Serve hot to enjoy the creamy texture of the sauce.
