
Homemade Chocolate Cookies
These homemade chocolate cookies are easy, quick and perfect to serve as a snack for children, friends or guests. The dough is made by hand with egg, sugar, salt, vanilla essence, melted butter, wheat flour and baking powder, then mixed with chopped chocolate or chocolate chips. Once shaped with spoons and baked, they turn out delicious, soft inside and full of chocolate pieces.

Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 50 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
- 80 ml melted butter
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 80 g chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, add the egg, sugar, pinch of salt, vanilla essence and melted butter.
- Mix very well with a whisk until the ingredients are fully combined.
- Add the wheat flour and baking powder.
- Mix until a firm cookie dough forms. Keep stirring until it reaches the right texture.
- Add the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips.
- Mix the chocolate into the dough until evenly distributed.
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Using two spoons, shape portions of dough and place them on the pan, leaving space between them.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly and serve the cookies.

Notes
The cookie dough is supposed to be firm, so keep mixing until it reaches the right texture. If you have chocolate chips, use them instead of chopped chocolate. Leave space between the cookies on the baking pan because they may spread slightly while baking. Use parchment paper to make removing them easier. Let them cool slightly before serving so they firm up better.
